About
Hi, I’m Jenn!
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate who believes in the ability of therapy to empower individuals and elevate their lives.
I have a deep love for nature, art, and travel. I enjoy exploring new places to learn and expand my experience in the world while also capturing and admiring the beauty I see along the journey with my art.
Animals are also a love of mine, particularly dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages. And specifically rescuing dogs into my family has been a fulfilling aspect of my life!
I rely on a wide-range of interventions in helping my clients break away from counterproductive patterns of behavior and break free from cycles of psychological struggle and emotional suffering. These interventions include—
- Depth Therapy
- Humanistic Therapy
- Jungian Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Art Therapy
- Narrative Therapy
- IFS (Internal Family Systems)
- Gestalt Therapy
- Somatic Experiencing Therapy
- Mindfulness-Based Therapy
- Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy
- Emotionally Focused Therapy
My Approach.
My predominant orientation as a psychotherapist lies in both depth and humanistic models of therapy. For the most part, this means carefully plumbing the depths of your past experiences, as well as your formative relationships in an effort to understand how you feel about, interact with, and respond to your environment.
I have a deep background and substantial experience in using Jungian analytical psychology to explore both the conscious and unconscious spaces of the human mind. I find that particular creative modalities such as art therapy and narrative therapy can be profoundly instrumental in—
- drawing out certain thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that are rooted in foundational and formative places in your past
- shining a light on certain concerns that demand your attention and require work in the present
- putting into perspective certain values and priorities that foreshadow your hopes and ambitions for the future
For the most part, this means carefully exploring the depths of your past experiences, as well as your formative relationships in an effort to understand how you understand yourself, your relationships, and your perspective in a way to gain a foundation toward what you want to build in your life.
